SNOWSUIT
It was a long drawn winter, and I‘d had quite enough. I was sedentary, I was ancy, I was gruff. But then I got a proper snowsuit, and it changed my winter life, and every day since I first zipped it up, I’ve been out there in the sparkling, white..
Don’t be afraid to stay in Midwest, through the winter.
All that you need, is to find all the right gear.
Well it also wouldn’t hurt if, our well being were subsidized; much like how the laws of Denmark, float this thing they call hygge. It’s a kind of semantic snowball, or a cultural panacea, and it helps them in their efforts, to live well in their place: ‘specially when it’s cold out; which is often. Much like the great lakes, which are similarly often frosted.
Don’t be afraid, to hold it down, in the mitten.
All that you need do is, practice the art of right relation,
though it’s easier said than done - I know.
Cozy usually relates just, to our physical surroundings. Hygge runs, with this and adds a, sense of camaraderie, "cheers!" We all know it doesn’t matter, quite so much where we hang our gloves. Something that we hold more dear, is the quality of love that we share.
I’ve been loving you, far too long to leave you my sweet Midwest; but you’re far behind of the Nordic nations, when it comes to taking, care of us.
*The phrases "semantic snowball" and "cultural panacea" are from Russell Mclendon's article titled, "How 'hygge' can help you get through the winter"
